1. Our Commitment

HealthSquire is committed to fostering an equitable and inclusive healthcare staffing marketplace. We believe that every qualified healthcare professional deserves equal access to work opportunities, and every facility deserves access to the best available talent — without bias or discrimination.

This policy applies to all aspects of our Platform, including account registration, shift posting and acceptance, matching algorithms, ratings and reviews, compensation, and all interactions between users (including shifts, travel, remote work, jobs, and continuing education).

2. Equal Opportunity Statement

HealthSquire provides equal opportunity to all healthcare professionals and facilities on our platform. We do not discriminate and do not permit discrimination by any user on the basis of:

  • Race, color, or ethnicity

  • Sexual orientation
  • Age (40 years or older)
  • Physical or mental disability
  • Genetic information
  • Veteran or military status

  • Citizenship or immigration status (within limits of applicable law)
  • Political affiliation or activity
  • Any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law

3. Applicable Laws

This policy is designed to comply with all applicable anti-discrimination laws, including but not limited to:

  • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964: Prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities
  • Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA): Prohibits discrimination against individuals 40 years of age or older

4. Platform Responsibilities

HealthSquire commits to the following practices:

4.1 Fair Matching and Algorithms

  • Our AI-powered matching system evaluates candidates based on qualifications, experience, certifications, availability, and performance history — never on protected characteristics
  • We regularly audit our matching algorithms for unintended bias
  • Shift recommendations are based on professional credentials, geographic proximity, and user preferences

4.2 Equal Compensation

  • Shift rates are set by facilities based on role, specialty, shift type, and market conditions — not on the personal characteristics of individual professionals
  • All professionals with equivalent qualifications receive equal access to the same shift opportunities and compensation rates
  • Platform fees are applied uniformly to all users

4.3 Accessible Platform

  • We maintain our Platform in compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards
  • Reasonable accommodations are provided for users with disabilities
  • Our support team is trained to assist users who require accessibility accommodations

5. User Responsibilities

5.1 For Facilities

  • Comply with ADA reasonable accommodation requirements
  • Not request or consider information about protected characteristics in staffing decisions

5.2 For Professionals

Healthcare professionals using the Platform agree to:

  • Treat all patients, colleagues, and facility staff with respect and dignity

7. Reasonable Accommodations

HealthSquire supports the provision of reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. If you require an accommodation to use our Platform or to perform professional duties during a shift obtained through our Platform, please contact us. We will work with you and, where applicable, the facility to determine appropriate accommodations.

8. Reporting Discrimination
