1. Our Commitment
HealthSquire is committed to fostering an equitable and inclusive healthcare staffing marketplace. We believe that every qualified healthcare professional deserves equal access to work opportunities, and every facility deserves access to the best available talent — without bias or discrimination.
This policy applies to all aspects of our Platform, including account registration, shift posting and acceptance, matching algorithms, ratings and reviews, compensation, and all interactions between users (including shifts, travel, remote work, jobs, and continuing education).
2. Equal Opportunity Statement
HealthSquire provides equal opportunity to all healthcare professionals and facilities on our platform. We do not discriminate and do not permit discrimination by any user on the basis of:
- Race, color, or ethnicity
- National origin or ancestry
- Religion or creed
- Sex, gender identity, or gender expression
- Sexual orientation
- Age (40 years or older)
- Physical or mental disability
- Genetic information
- Veteran or military status
- Marital or familial status
- Pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions
- Citizenship or immigration status (within limits of applicable law)
- Political affiliation or activity
- Any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law
3. Applicable Laws
This policy is designed to comply with all applicable anti-discrimination laws, including but not limited to:
- Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964: Prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities
- Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA): Prohibits discrimination against individuals 40 years of age or older
- Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA): Prohibits discrimination based on genetic information
- Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA): Protects the rights of military service members
- Equal Pay Act: Requires equal pay for equal work regardless of sex
- Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act: Prohibits discrimination in healthcare programs and activities
- State and local anti-discrimination laws: Including California FEHA, and other applicable state and municipal ordinances
5. User Responsibilities
5.1 For Facilities
Facilities using the Platform agree to:
- Post shifts with requirements based solely on legitimate, job-related qualifications
- Evaluate and select professionals based on credentials, experience, and performance — not protected characteristics
- Provide equal working conditions and treatment to all professionals
- Comply with ADA reasonable accommodation requirements
- Not request or consider information about protected characteristics in staffing decisions
5.2 For Professionals
Healthcare professionals using the Platform agree to:
- Treat all patients, colleagues, and facility staff with respect and dignity
- Provide care without discrimination based on patient characteristics
- Report discriminatory behavior encountered during shifts
- Not engage in harassment or discriminatory conduct toward other Platform users
6. Harassment and Hostile Work Environment
HealthSquire strictly prohibits harassment in any form, including but not limited to:
- Sexual harassment, including unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature
- Verbal harassment, including slurs, epithets, derogatory comments, or jokes targeting a protected characteristic
- Physical harassment, including unwelcome physical contact, intimidation, or threats
- Visual harassment, including offensive images, symbols, or gestures
- Cyber harassment, including discriminatory or harassing messages through the Platform's communication features
7. Reasonable Accommodations
HealthSquire supports the provision of reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. If you require an accommodation to use our Platform or to perform professional duties during a shift obtained through our Platform, please contact us. We will work with you and, where applicable, the facility to determine appropriate accommodations.
8. Reporting Discrimination
If you experience or witness discrimination, harassment, or retaliation on or in connection with the Platform, we encourage you to report it promptly through any of the following channels:

All reports will be investigated promptly and thoroughly. HealthSquire will take appropriate corrective action where discrimination is confirmed, up to and including account termination.
9. Anti-Retaliation
HealthSquire strictly prohibits retaliation against any individual who, in good faith:
- Reports discrimination, harassment, or a violation of this policy
- Participates in an investigation of a complaint
- Opposes discriminatory practices
- Files a complaint with an external agency (EEOC, state civil rights agency, etc.)
Retaliation includes any adverse action taken against a person because they engaged in a protected activity, including demotion in platform rankings, reduced shift access, negative reviews, or account restrictions.
10. Enforcement
Violations of this Non-Discrimination Policy may result in:
- Warning and required corrective training
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Reporting to applicable regulatory or licensing authorities
- Legal action where appropriate
